Jeremy and Colly passed me a musical baton.
I don’t remember the last time I took part in a meme so, here we go.
Total volume of music files on my computer:
28.5GB, or about 6,300 songs or nearly 800 albums. Thereabouts.
The last CD I bought was:
Open Season by British Sea Power. Well…actually it was Awake is the New Sleep by Ben Lee on the strength of Catch My Disease, but the rest of the album turned out to be mediocre so I ebayed it. For a profit, ha!
Song playing right now:
Can’t Stand Me Now by The Libertines, playing on BBC 6Music.
Five songs I listen to a lot, or that mean a lot to me:
I can’t think of many songs that really mean a lot to me, but I never tire of these songs:
- National Express — The Divine Comedy
- So Says I — The Shins
- Misshapes — Pulp
- Life on Mars — David Bowie
- Caught by the Fuzz — Supergrass
The Pulp and Bowie tracks there come from the albums Different Class and Hunky Dory respectively, perhaps two of the greatest albums ever.
Five people I’m passing the baton to:
How about Decline & Fall, Emma, Vikki, Joe Clark and Anne?
