A Nightmare on Elm Street teaser trailer
Jackie Earle Haley picks up the Krueger mantle as the Elm Street franchise gets rebooted.
The original Nightmare shat me right up when I watched as a child, but later films in the series (possibly excepting Wes Craven’s fourth-wall-breaking New Nightmare) went for wise-cracking comedy deaths instead of scares. This looks like a return to form (and possibly painting Krueger as a wrongly-accused victim of vigilante justice, interestingly), and I can’t think of anyone better than Haley for the role after his turn as Rorshach in Watchmen.
